THE PROUST QUESTIONNAIRE

For some crazy reason, I get the feeling that my blog is screaming out for something other than reviews and interviews.

If nothing else but my friend Tash commented to me the other day, "Actually, I don't read reviews or interviews..." Which is basically saying she hadn't read my blog for about three weeks.

Now, we can't have this, can we!

So, alas, its the awesome Simmone to the rescue.

She's at the start of her Writer in Residence at Inside A Dog, and today she brings us the THE PROUST QUESTIONNAIRE, which she has encouraged everyone to complete.

You can read her answers from the link above, and my answers?

Well, feast your eyes on them, loyal Lit Life readers:

THE PROUST QUESTIONNAIRE:

What is your most marked characteristic?
Craziness. And enthusiasm. I get told that a lot (that I'm very enthusiastic).

What is the quality you most like in a man?
Safety.

What is the quality you most like in a woman?
I like a lot of qualities in women, haha. If I had to narrow it down... Love. (Or high amounts of like in that awkward pre-stage).

What do you most value in your friends?
Their ability to put up with my shit!

What is the trait you most deplore in yourself?
Over-thinking.

What is your favorite occupation?
Writing. Or possibly tutoring, or even marketing. I'm quite enjoying that at the moment.

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Author stalking. I was upset one day, and my good friend Wendy sent me a text saying, "Don't worry, you've got a nice day of author stalking ahead to look forward to."

What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
Not being able to read.

In which country would you like to live?
Australia. Or America.

Who are your favorite writers?
Virginia Woolf, John Marsden and a bunch of random authors who write my favourite books. Check my list on the side bar.

Who is your favorite hero of fiction?
Charlie from The Perks of Being a Wallflower. But so many to pick from.

Who is your favorite heroine of fiction?
Too hard to pick... I have so many. I quite like Eliza Winthrop.

Who are your favorite composers?
I feel that a question such as this, written by a man such as Proust, I can't answer Miley Cyrus... So I'll say Billy Joel. Or Jeff Lynne.

Who are your favorite painters?
I don't know enough about artists to list any, so I'll say my sister Lauren: she is damn awesome artist! Also my mother, who won several art prizes :D (Damn Lauren getting all the artist traits and leaving none for me! I can't even draw stick figures...)

What are your favorite names?
I wander between names that I like. I tuck them away and sometimes use them for character names, and sometimes I name my children (in my mind). Names I like at the moment include Sadie, Paige and Savannah.

What is it that you most dislike?
This is going to sound shallow and stupid, but I really hate the state of Melbourne's public transport :P

Which talent would you most like to have?
To fly.

How would you like to die?
I've always said I want to be eaten alive by sharks...

What is your current state of mind?
Tired. And exhausted. I've managed to put up two book reviews, one book chat and one author interview today. As well as being at NICA and tutoring two of my kids. Go me!

What is your motto?
Not sure I have one... But always take a book with you! You'll never know when it'll come in handy.
